David Knowles – SVA MA Design Research

David Knowles is a graphic designer specializing in the fields of art, culture, and entertainment. Past and present work includes designs for Art Los Angeles Contemporary, Harper’s Magazine, GAMeC Bergamo, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Movement Research, and Publication Studio. He has collaborated with dozens of individual artists, writers, and musicians on original books, publications, and exhibitions. He is the former Director of P!, a gallery in New York City’s Chinatown, and a current fellow at the Center for Urban Pedagogy. His work is held in the collections of MoMA Library and the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
