Eric Schwartau – SVA MA Design Research

Eric Schwartau is an artist, satirist, editor, and the co-founder of Talk Hole, an “artjacent” comedy brand and monthly showcase. He has performed in and produced shows at MoMA PS1, NADA Art Fair, and Navel LA. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Art in America, Dazed & Confused Magazine, Time Out New York, and Mic.com.  He is a former Editor at Taschen where he worked on photography and design titles including multi-book deals with The New York Times and National Geographic. He received a B.A. in Urban Studies from Vassar College where he studied the interrelation between the HGTV “designed-to-sell” aesthetic and the US subprime mortgage crisis. He has a (scholarly) obsession with House Hunters and Forensic Files.
