Alex Feraday – SVA MA Design Research

Alex is a 22-year-old recent graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design University. Since graduating he took on a 3-month internship at Viva & Co. in Toronto, he has also worked independently on a variety of research and design projects in the arts. Interested in the nature of the graphic world as perceived by the subjective ‘we’; Alex writes to verbally revise and re-focus his own paradigm. Often averted by the sometimes-reiterative vocabulary of contemporary design commentary, he hopes to look for relevant solutions that exist independently from the approval of a commercial market. In doing so, he looks forward to feeling confronted, confused, uncomfortable and to the prominent possibility of experiencing public shaming.
