devoted to the study of design, its contexts & consequences.
Our graduates have gone on to pursue research-related careers in publishing, education, museums, institutes, design practice, entrepreneurship, & more.3

Alex Klimoski – SVA MA Design Research

Alex Klimoski is currently an assistant editor at Architectural Record magazine. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in design from Cornell University in 2012, she worked in marketing and communications for New York-based architecture firms including Dattner Architects. She has written for the Architect’s Newspaper, and was a 2016 SVA Research and Writing Fellow at the Van Alen Institute, a non-profit focused on urban design.
