devoted to the study of design, its contexts & consequences.
Our graduates have gone on to pursue research-related careers in publishing, education, museums, institutes, design practice, entrepreneurship, & more.3

Dalit Shalom – SVA MA Design Research

Dalit is a Brooklyn-based experience designer and creative technologist, previously from Tel Aviv. She crafts products and experiences that are story-driven and human-centric. Her work focuses on helping people understand the world better through design and technology. She holds a Masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU‭, where she received Google’s Experiments in Storytelling grant for her thesis project ‘Those Who Live at the Library’, created in partnership with The New York Public Library. Dalit is a Senior Designer at frog Design, and in addition, she teaches at the Tandon School of Engineering at NYU and advises thesis at SVA’s Interaction Design program. Her insatiable curiosity drives her love for research‭, ‬and she is passionate about making memorable and meaningful experiences that people can share together‭.

 

She is thrilled to take part in the Summer Intensive Program and to sharpen her written communication skills, especially around design research and design reviews, an essential part of Dalit’s creative process.
