Komal Kehar – SVA MA Design Research

Komal Kehar is a New York-based architect and interior designer.  In addition to completing the Design Research, Writing & Criticism graduate program at the School of Visual Arts in 2018, Komal also holds a Masters of Architecture from Parsons School of Design.  She is grounded in the belief that design is poetic in that it can help access cultural threads and encode them into meaningful social interactions.  The work that attracts her most is always in service of increased equity, justice and ecological sustainability. She is inspired by working collaboratively and across disciplines to design spaces that create a positive emotional response.
