Shrutika Shah – SVA MA Design Research

After spending seventeen years in Mumbai, India, Shrutika moved to London in the winter of 2011. What started off as love for art and sketching, evolved into passion for design and creativity, and she went on to pursue a degree in Graphic Communication Design from the University of Westminster in 2012. After graduating with a First Class Honours degree last year, she took a short break and travelled around for three months, before returning to London and pursuing her design dream. She currently works for a digital marketing agency named 360iEurope as a junior designer.

While a designer by trade, Shrutika has always been an aspiring writer, and she hopes that the Design Writing Summer Intensive course at SVA will help her integrate two of her favorite things. It is an absolute bonus that the course is taking place in New York City, which just happens to be at the top of her dream-destinations list.

In her spare time, Shrutika loves reading (she has read all of the Harry Potter books at a record of eleven times), dancing (you’ll probably see her bobbing her head to any music her ears fall prey to), and singing (even though she’s tone-deaf). Oh, and she absolutely loves to talk.
