Steve Ouditt – SVA MA Design Research

Steve Ouditt teaches art and design in Trinidad, West Indies. He lives in a studio at the foot of a hill in the capital city Port of Spain. Steve has studied in India at The Entrepreneurship Development Institute in Ahmedebad; at the School of Visual Arts (BFA Honors); at Goldsmiths College in London (MA Distinction), and was a research fellow at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, Holland. Before moving back to Trinidad he lived and worked in England and Jamaica. In England he was curator of Research and Education at the Institute of International Visual Arts (inIVA), London—and in Kingston, Jamaica he taught at the Caribbean School of Architecture. He has exhibited his installations in Cuba, China, New York, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Iceland, Dominican Republic, Cologne, Kassel, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, and Trinidad. After years of reading Steve hopes that this Summer Intensive will be the catalyst for his own design bestseller.
