
Eric Schwartau
MA Design Research Director of Operations; Co-founder Talk Hole
Eric Schwartau is an artist, writer, and cofounder of Talk Hole, an “art-jacent” comedy brand and duo. He has produced and hosted shows in collaboration with the New Museum, DIS Magazine, MoMA PS1, NADA Art Fair, Material Art Fair, Independent Curators International, and NeueHouse. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Art in America, Dazed & Confused, Time Out New York, Arte.tv and Mic.com. He currently coauthors a biweekly column in Interview Magazine. Eric is also a freelance copywriter and creative director whose clients have included AmBev, Porto Rocha, Chandelier Creative, and Peoplestrology.
He is a former Editor at TASCHEN Books and holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from Vassar College, receiving Honors for his thesis examining the connection between HGTV’s “designed to sell” programming and the US subprime mortgage crisis. He has a (scholarly) obsession with House Hunters.
He instructs Part II of the Applied Media Workshop.
