Eric Schwartau is an artist, writer, and cofounder of Talk Hole, an “art-jacent” comedy brand and duo. Talk Hole has produced and hosted shows in collaboration with the New Museum, DIS Magazine, MoMA PS1, NADA Art Fair, Material Art Fair, Independent Curators International, and NeueHouse. Talk Hole currently writes a bimonthly column in Interview Magazine and their work has been featured in The New York Times, Art in America, Dazed & Confused, Time Out New York, Arte.tv and Mic.com. He is also a copywriter and creative director whose clients have included AmBev, Porto Rocha, Chandelier Creative, Peoplestrology and FXFowle.
He is a former Editor at TASCHEN Books and holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from Vassar College, receiving Honors for his thesis examining the connection between HGTV’s “designed to sell” programming and the US subprime mortgage crisis. He has a (scholarly) obsession with House Hunters.
