Noa Raviv, “Essential Mistakes”
Noa Raviv is a designer and artist working in the intersection of fashion, art, and technology. She aims to turn the imperfect and unexpected into poetical objects. In this talk, Noa will discuss her work and why she believes mistakes are the most important part of a creative process.
Noa’s practice is influenced by the dichotomy between the handmade and machine-made, often combining traditional handcraft with innovative technologies such as 3D printing and laser cutting. Her work has been presented globally, including in exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and in Manus x Machina at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and has received recognition in a variety of media outlets, such as Wired, BBC, Vogue, and New York Magazine, among others. In 2016 she was chosen for Forbes “30 Under 30” and also selected by Vogue as one of the best young designers of the year.
