
Alice Gong

Alice Gong is a Chinese born, Canadian interdisciplinary artist and designer currently based in New York. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in Designed Objects, Sculpture, and Material Studies. She maintains a personal studio practice while also working in various creative capacities from industrial, graphic, and exhibition design to curation. Her work is invested in exploring dialogues between material culture and heritage, ranging from the spaces in which objects exist to the parameters that define how objects are made, and how it all inform ideas of the self in relation to cultural diffusion and diaspora. She completed an artist residency at Autodesk’s Pier 9 Workshop in San Francisco, and has exhibited work internationally.
