Alper Besen
MA Design Research, Writing & Criticism (2015)
Alper was born in Istanbul and worked there as an interior architect until 2011. His love of theory led him to a master’s degree at RISD Interior architecture department, where he also had his first teaching experience. He continued teaching at Urban Frame, which is a summer design and build program at MIT. After moving to New York he started working at Deborah Berke Partners as an interior architect.
He is addicted to design philosophy and architectural theory. When not reading or writing he can usually be found wandering in wildlife or sleeping outdoors under the sun.
