Andi Laska – SVA MA Design Research

Andi is an Albanian-American architectural designer, visual storyteller, and aspiring historian/critic currently serving as adjunct faculty of architecture at Wake Tech. College. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with partial studies at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has worked in architectural design firms in Los Angeles and Raleigh covering a range of work from high end commercial projects to various civic and public works, some of which have been part of national design competitions.

In the fall, he will start in the Master of Architectural History and Theory program at the University of Virginia where he aims to research the intersection of architecture, culture, and politics during the Cold War with particular interests on Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
