Anwulika Oputa – SVA MA Design Research

For over a decade Anwulika has honed her passion for bringing people together by designing strategic communications, partnerships, and live experiences for top US media and technology firms. In 2016, she packed her bags and moved to Lagos, Nigeria to use her skills as an agent for change and influence globalization in the media and entertainment space. Since returning to North America, Anwulika currently acts as a bridge for local and global firms to navigate transcontinental brand development, and authentically translate experiences into stories through her own communications company; Relate Media Group.

Anwulika is a natural dot connector and a true believer in the power of design and culture as the foundation for community development. Her mission is to continue to design environments, online and offline, to inform and engage audiences while deepening human connections. She continuously aims to be a model of possibility, and provide multidimensional experiences for brands and people to learn about themselves and the world around them.

At SVA, she plans to empower her curiosity and investigate the intersection of design, experiences, and media, examining the role each play in influencing our human-environmental interactions and societal and cultural behaviors. She intends to be a catalyst for boldly reimagining this world as it could be by using storytelling to inspire a ubiquitous standard of living that enhances design quality and human experiences.
