Caye Burry – SVA MA Design Research

Caye is an interior designer based in Washington, DC. Caye earned her BA in Communication Studies from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and began her career in nonprofit development and grant writing in 2008. Following successful fundraising efforts at Junior Achievement, the National Cathedral, and The Wilderness Society, Caye joined the marketing staff at CallisonRTKL to explore a long-held interest in architecture and design. She played a key role in thought leadership and market research campaigns for the firm while simultaneously earning her interior design degree from KLC School of Design in London.

Caye has since worked on design and construction projects as a member of the workplace interiors studio at SmithGroup and as a Design Associate at SWATCHROOM, a design and art curation firm with clients in the multifamily residential, corporate, and hospitality sectors. Caye is a LEED Green Associate and WELL Accredited Professional with a particular interest in sustainable design that promotes health and wellbeing.
