Our graduates have gone on to pursue research-related careers in publishing, education, museums, institutes, design practice, entrepreneurship, & more.3

Chappell Ellison – SVA MA Design Research

Chappell Ellison is a design writer, editor and educator. Her editorial work has lead her to collaborate with a range of companies and institutions, including Etsy, the Museum of Modern Art, Design Observer, Razorfish, and the City of New York. She is a proud graduate of the Design Criticism MFA program at the School of Visual Arts, and previously received her BFA in Design at the University of Texas. In 2009, her essay on design issues related to Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder received the AIGA Winterhouse Award for Design Writing.
