Emily Lau – SVA MA Design Research

Emily Lau is an artist-writer raised and currently working in, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Interested in exploring how the framework of individual and collective narratives create impact, she co-founded a brand narrative video company that looks for synergy between subject & storyteller. She has a B.A. in English with a background in music, poetry and site-specific collaborations, and is drawn to the field of design and how it might inform cross-pollination between place-making, the arts and project-based learning. She finds New York very inspiring, and hopes to gather new tools and skills, connect with mentors and fellow students, and refine her writing.
