Our graduates have gone on to pursue research-related careers in publishing, education, museums, institutes, design practice, entrepreneurship, & more.3

Emma Stark – SVA MA Design Research

Emma is a designer, writer, and artist creating unforgettable brand experiences and meaningful brand systems for clients including IBM, Pinterest, and ServiceNow.

She believes design has the power to solve business problems and enhance our world. She strives to push the boundaries of design through branding & visual systems, typography, photo & layout, while infusing her practice with other disciplines like filmmaking, interior design, and marketing. 

She shares her experience working on in-house design teams with creatives looking to further their careers on her blog The Design Loupe. Off the clock, you’ll find her immersed in her latest passion project or creating art.
