Architect and writer
Essi Oikarinen is an architect and writer based in Helsinki. She currently works with writing, editing and communications in the field of architecture. She is particularly interested in the ways architects speak and write, and strives for finding more ways to make architectural language accessible for all. She was educated in the world’s northernmost School of Architecture in Oulu, Finland, and also works on an ongoing PhD project on the relationship between climate and architecture. When not admiring buildings she can be found knitting cardigans.
