Jenni Young is a communications designer from the UK. While studying at the Bartlett School of Architecture of University College London, she discovered a passion for exploring the built environment through the written word. She pursued this interest professionally as director of communications for Carlo Ratti Associati in Turin, Italy, from 2010 to 2014, managing projects including the masterplan of Ciudad Creativa Digital in Guadalajara, Mexico. More recently she has been consulting on various international freelance projects, including copywriting and developing communications strategies for design companies. She is currently a SVA Research and Writing Fellow at the Van Alen Institute, a non-profit focused on urban design issues, and will be moving to San Francisco after graduation.
