Joanna Rutkowska – SVA MA Design Research

Joanna exists somewhere between academia and practice, design and research, writing and making. These polarities inform her design research and service design work, providing actionable design insights for her clients. Her self-identified in-betweenness allows her to bring a fresh perspective and trigger change.

Currently, she’s finalizing a Ph.D. project at Tallinn University in Estonia, and is a member of IDEO U Community of Practice, where she focuses on creative leadership. Since 2013, she has co-authored the report “UX and Product Design in Poland,” and in 2020, she debuted as a curator of the exhibition, “Data are emotions. Emotions are data.” at Gdynia Design Days (GDD) in Poland.
