Kariyma Murphy – SVA MA Design Research

Kariyma Murphy is a Baltimore-based (soon to be Atlanta-based) UI/UX designer. She received her bachelor’s in graphic design from the Maryland Institute College of Art. With her previous experience working for the National Education Association, Blue State Digital, and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, she joined KPMG shortly after graduating in 2017. Spending the last two years in the design and engineering group has expanded her practice into product design. Now she is typically found in buried in Sketch layers, investigating solutions to pain points and prototyping in Invision. Thoughtful research and strategy are essential to strategizing and crafting experiences. She seeks to build up her writing and researching abilities as they are invaluable skills for product designers to have.
