
Marisa Paz
MA Design Research, Writing & Criticism (2020)
Marisa received her Master of Architecture degree from Rhode Island School of Design (2013) and her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia (2008). She was born and raised in Ecuador, and her connection to Latin American culture manifests in her interest in applying creative-research methods to developing cities like Quito. She uses hybrid drawings and photographic processes like cyanotypes to depict the growth of cities. As a licensed architect, she has worked with Carlos Zapata, NYC, and locally with various Ecuadorian firms. She is currently an assistant professor at Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
