Nitzan Hermon is a designer and researcher with interests in AI, complexity science and language. He works between academia and industry on questions of creativity, agency and human–machine collaboration.
He is an inaugural member of NEW INC, the New Museum incubator for art and technology in the New Museum, and is part of IEEE AI & Ethics, and AI & Wellbeing working groups.
As an educator he has taught Complexity by Design, and Business Design at Parsons Strategic Design & Management, and in his writing he is exploring the qualities needed for people in the age of AI.
In a collaboration with Ken Goldberg at UC Berkley Nitzan wrote a report for TATA Communications CEO titled “AI, Augmentation, Intellectual Diversity and The Future of Work.” It was warmly received and received press coverage at The Economist, and Axios. Most recently Nitzan was the first external resident in Cartier’s Retail Innovation Lab in New York.
