Polly is a designer and researcher who is passionate about people and crafting ways to make things work better for them. Coming to New York by way of the Bay Area, she holds a BFA in Service Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
After two years at a large software company and another at a small design agency, she left San Francisco sourdough behind for the chance to write more than client-facing reports. She comes to SVA curious to explore the connections between people, places, and things in the most populated US city. She’s eager to find the best Everything bagel and tell stories about what holds us together in the modern world by theorizing implications that come along with the shifting tides we see in technology, accessibility, and our built environments.
TLDR: Polly is a person who enjoys other people, thought exercises, and eating great bread.
