Sarah is currently an MFA student at California College of the Arts, where she is studying Design. She also holds a BA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley, with a concentration in Narrative and Image and a Minor in Art History.
Prior to returning to graduate school, Sarah worked in museums, archives, and libraries and hopes to bring her knowledge of these institutions into dialogue with her design practice.
Sarah is interested in the relationship between time, memory, and ephemerality, and how our collective relationship to these concepts is expressed through material culture and the recording of history. Her recent work engages erasure as a concept and a method: exploring what it means to reshape form, narratives, and language through erasure, deconstruction, and redaction.
