Scott Lundberg – SVA MA Design Research

Scott loves living in Brooklyn and can hardly wait until the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway is finished from Greenpoint to the Rockaways. He has a breadth of design experience including design for the campanile at Gossner College in Bihar Ranchi, India, a shower shelf based on DARPA technology, and a wine finding system that works for BottleRocket. After receiving a Masters of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, Scott has taught classes pretty much ever since. Currently the acting chair of Industrial Design, he will return to the assistant chair position in July and begin the fourth year experience as a design education administrator.

This experience has made him realize the importance of quality story conception and expression. Scott’s goal for this intensive is to begin focusing on this work more purposefully. Design Writing and Research looks to be a perfect blend of new knowledge, methods, and opportunities immersed in design. But as important to him is to feel what it is to be a student and refuel the fires.
