
Soyoun Kim

Soyoun Kim is a design researcher and historian from South Korea with a deep passion for art and design. She holds a master’s degree in art theory from Seoul National University and finished her doctorate coursework in design at Kookmin University. Since 2009, she has worked at several museums including Seoul National University’s Museum of Art, Samsung Museum of Art (Leeum), and Arts Council Korea’s Arco Art Center. Soyoun enjoys researching and analyzing design concepts, which led her to become a contributor for the design magazine Design Jungle, as well as the co-author of a book about urban design in Seoul. She is interested in how contemporary design developed in East Asia, and the influences it has received from the West.
