Anooradha Siddiqi – SVA MA Design Research

Anooradha Iyer Siddiqi is a historian, architect, and writer. She is a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University. Her 2009 publication, The L!brary Book (Princeton Architectural Press, Fall 2009), investigates a New York experiment to energize the city’s poorest public schools with thought-provoking architecture. Anoo’s research investigates historical moments of intersection between architecture/urbanism and human rights activism, including spatial-political problems of extraterritoriality and disenfranchisement of populations, and the role of nonprofit and nongovernmental actors.
